Securing your IP and Using it to Gain a Competitive Advantage – Geelong

  • This event has passed.

August 17 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am

 The Geelong Corporate Centre

This workshop gives businesses access to a practical and useful insight into how to protect and gain value from their intellectual property rights (IP), such as trade marks, copyright and patents. Businesses will learn how to use their IP to give them a competitive advantage in the market. Davies Collison Cave’s (DCC) experienced trade marks and patent attorneys and Davies Collison Cave Law (DCCL) experienced commercial and IP litigation lawyers, will take attendees through the steps of identifying and protecting their IP, while providing insight into developing a tailored strategy to leverage IP and assist businesses to:

  •  identify and protect their trade marks, copyright, products and innovations;
  •  deter competitors from copying their IP;
  •  increase business valuation and commercialise their IP;
  • protect their IP in the online space.

The workshop will provide real life case studies about small businesses (some of whom have gone on to be national and multinational organisations) and this will assist the audience to relate to content and apply it to their business. The workshop will conclude with a Q&A session.

Following the workshop DCC will host an hour of networking to give the audience the chance to talk one-on-one with the presenters and to network with their peers.
