August 22 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am

 The Pier Geelong

When you take into account that 1.1 million Victorians, 18% of our total population, have a disability, becoming more welcoming as a business and employer represents a substantial opportunity to all businesses in the growing visitor economy.

Join us to hear from local Geelong businesses who have become more ‘disability confident’ who will share their firsthand experience of the benefits of recruiting people with a more diverse range of skillsets to fill existing vacancies and creating new, previously unseen opportunities. Hear too about the impact on their bottom line by factoring accessibility into their customer service approach.

You’ll also learn about the resources and tools available to support employers considering drawing from this largely untapped talent pool

This event will be hosted by the Australian Federation of Disability Organisations, with the support of the Victorian Government  through Every opportunity: Victorian economic participation plan for people with disability.
