With a passion for his heritage and desire for excellence, Guy has built a culinary empire and achieved international acclaim as a chef, author, TV entertainer, public speaker and consultant.

He is also a socially conscious entrepreneur who has successfully embedded responsible business practices into his growing Grossi Group brand which includes some of Melbourne’s most renowned restaurants like Florentino, Merchant and Ombra.

We were delighted to host the ABC’s Alan Kohler, one of Australia’s most trusted financial experts, for a fascinating discussion of the recent crisis in the banking and financial services industry, where we are now and how to protect and grow your money. Alan provided insights into his investing philosophy, based on his more than forty-five years’ experience observing and reporting on this sector that enables him to see the big picture in a way no-one else can.

NURTURING ABORIGINAL EXCELLENCE

Ngarrimili hosted a cultural inclusion event for the whole of Geelong business community, providing a platform for Aboriginal business and promoting the benefits of using Aboriginal-run businesses. The morning featured keynote speaker Cormach Evans, founder of Strong Brother Strong Sister and co-founder of Ngarrimili, and hosted of panel of Aboriginal businesspeople from range of sectors. THis event was strongly focus on bringing the Aboriginal community to the City of Greater Geelong while creating culturally safe and appropriate platforms for the future of Aboriginal businesses to access the City of Greater Geelong.

Business in Heels presented regional superstars Gillian Costa and Lyndsay Sharp as part of #GSBF2019 at Wah Wah Gee in a room with a view where the audience learned from Gillian and Lyndsay’s mistakes and made new connections in their networks.

AN EVENING WITH OSCAR WINNING ANIMATOR ADAM ELLIOT

In an intimate presentation at the National Wool Museum, Adam shared his insight into groundbreaking technology and innovation transforming the animation industry, ahead of the release of his next film in 2022.

One of Australia’s most celebrated stop-motion animators and certainly our most successful short filmmaker, Adam took on the giants at Disney, Pixar and Fox to win an Academy Award for his clay-animation Harvie Krumpet. The story of his Oscars journey had the audience laughing, cheering and completely engaged.

This event was part of the 2019 Digital Innovation Festival.
